Who We Need

The Biomedical Technical Officer will assist BME Manager in carrying out day to day maintenance related activities of biomedical equipment under the department’s purview. He/ She is responsible for providing administrative and technical support to the complete maintenance aspect of biomedical equipment within the hospital.

  • Respond to any complaints and perform maintenance of biomedical equipment from the wards and clinical department.
  • Maintain work order record of the equipment (Manual or Web based iLOG) for monitoring work order status and necessary follow-up.
  • Assist in commissioning of new medical equipment and in sending BME test equipment for calibration.
  • Ensure completion of preventive maintenance according to schedule.
  • Assist to put up quotation for approval for repair of biomedical equipment and purchase of spare parts.
  • Liaises and coordinates with suppliers, sub-contractors and users whenever required.
  • Performs any other duties as assigned by Manager.

How to Succeed

  • Preferably Diploma in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical, Electronic Engineering, or related discipline.
  • At least 1 to 2 years experience and preferably in healthcare or medical electronics industry.
  • Strong team-player, self-starter with strong sense of initiative, agility and perseverance in starting and building a strong culture in performance & engagement.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge in Microsoft Office.
  • Basic computer hardware and network knowledge.
  • Willing to work On Call /Standby Duty after office hours or weekends and Public Holidays.
