Job summary

Qualifications

• 2+ years of software development experience.
• Experience designing and maintaining RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Strong Python (and/or Node.js) and data processing ecosystem knowledge.
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL) and object storage (S3).
• Solid CS fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, design patterns.
• Excellent communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy a high-performance containerised microservice for algorithm ingestion and RESTful APIs.
• Implement version tracking and lifecycle management for ingested algorithms.
• Enforce resource isolation and sandboxing for third-party code execution.
• Collaborate with bioinformaticians to translate needs into technical requirements.
• Contribute to secure, scalable infrastructure and best practices, incl. automated testing and CI/CD via GitHub Actions.
