Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Model Review & Evaluation: Assess and review proposed model modifications from the project design team to ensure accuracy and feasibility.

  • Modeling Requirements & Guidance: Define modeling requirements based on finalized design plans and provide guidance to the BIM modeling team for efficient execution.

  • Quality Assurance: Conduct quality audits on BIM deliverables, including models, 2D/3D shop drawings, and as-built documentation, ensuring compliance with project standards.

  • Clash Detection & Resolution: Review clash detection results, propose viable solutions, and monitor the resolution process to ensure effective coordination.

  • Coordination & Workflow Optimization: Facilitate coordination among all project stakeholders, particularly with the design team, to enhance collaboration and streamline the BIM-to-design workflow.

  • BIM Model Visualization & Presentation: Utilize BIM models to effectively present design concepts and project progress as required.

  • BIM Project Setup & Administration: Manage BIM project setup and administration, ensuring seamless workflow across all project phases.

  • Technical Coordination: Work closely with subcontractors, consultants, and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues, ensuring proper data transmission.

  • 4D Model Development: Collaborate with project stakeholders to develop and manage 4D models for construction planning.

  • Quality Management: Implement quality control measures, conduct result analysis, and formulate action plans for continuous improvement in BIM processes.

  • Project Schedule Compliance: Ensure that the production schedules for drawings and site progress align with project milestones.

Education and Work Experience Requirements:
  • Background: Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Architectural Engineering, or possess a relevant BIM certification. Minimum 5 years of experience working with BIM authoring tools in the construction industry.

  • Software Proficiency: Highly proficient in Bentley platform software, including OpenPlant Modeler, OpenBuildings Designer, and OpenPlant P&ID. Additionally skilled in Revit MEP, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.

  • BIM Workflow Expertise: Strong understanding of BIM project workflows, with the ability to coordinate BIM-related tasks based on industry experience.

  • Design Review & Evaluation: Familiarity with MEP and water treatment plant design, capable of evaluating and reviewing model modification proposals from the project design team.

  • Modeling & Quality Control: Ability to translate design concepts into modeling requirements and perform quality reviews on BIM deliverables.

  • Collaboration & Problem-Solving: Excellent coordination skills to liaise with multiple project stakeholders and resolve technical issues efficiently.

  • Work Environment: Must be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision while meeting project deadlines.

  • Work Location: Based in Tuas and other western areas; shuttle service is provided for Tuas site.
