A child care center in Yishun is seeking a caring and responsible After School Teacher to join their team. Job Description:
We are looking for a caring, responsible, and proactive After School Teacher to join our student care team in nurturing and supporting primary school children during after-school hours and school holidays. The successful candidate will check their school bags for school assignments, oversee homework supervision, conduct enrichment and character-building activities, and actively plan and implement holiday programmes and daily routines aligned with the centre’s curriculum and timetable.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supervise and manage a group of primary school children (ages 7–12) in a structured, nurturing environment aligned with our belief and philosophy.
2. Facilitate daily programs and activities according to the centre’s timetable, including academic support, enrichment sessions, and character development.
3. Supervise students in completing homework.
4. Plan, organise, and execute engaging and meaningful holiday programs that include educational excursions, workshops, team-building games, and creative activities.
5. Maintain discipline and promote positive behaviour at all times.
6. Ensure the safety and well-being of all students at all times.
7. Communicate effectively with parents regarding students' progress, behaviour, and centre events.
8. Support in administrative tasks and contribute to a clean, safe, and organised environment.
Requirements:
1. Minimum GCE 'O' Level qualification with passes in languages. Diploma will be an added advantage.
2. Some experience working with children in different setting Eg. student care, or educational setting.
3. Strong organisational, classroom management, and communication skills.
4. Able to plan and implement engaging and age-appropriate activities.
5. Knowledge of Singapore's MOE primary curriculum is preferred.
6. Team player with a positive attitude, patience, and a genuine love for working with children.
7. Able to commit to weekday afternoons and full-day shifts during MOE school holidays.
Working Hours:
1. School Term: Weekdays 11 am to 7 pm
2. School Holidays: Will be required to work longer hours from 9 am to 7 pm
Salary Range:
S$2,000 – $3,000/month (commensurate with relevant experience and qualifications)
