Job summary

TikTok is offering an internship in its Recommendation Architecture Team in Singapore. You will help design offline data architectures for large-scale recommender systems and contribute to scalable storage and computing infrastructure.

Internship candidates will gain hands-on experience, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and participate in development workshops and events. Commitment of at least 3 months is required and candidates may apply to two positions across the company.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical discipline.
• Familiarity with big data frameworks including Hadoop, Hive, Flink, Spark, Kafka, HBase, or Redis.
• Proficiency in Java or C++ with strong coding and debugging abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement offline data architecture for large-scale recommender systems.
• Build scalable, high-performance storage and computing systems.
• Troubleshoot production systems and maintain overall system stability.
• Develop distributed storage/compute infrastructure for massive data and business systems.
• Apply data mining, ML, and NLP to extract insights from large datasets.
