Job summary

PERSOL Singapore is seeking an experienced DevOps/Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and optimize scalable big data platforms. You will collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and engineers to ensure high performance and reliable data processing workflows.

You will lead deployment of big data technologies, mentor teams in best practices, and implement governance and security policies while staying current with DevOps trends.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in DevOps, Infrastructure, Cloud Operations, or SRE roles.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes on at least two cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP/others).
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, ArgoCD, or equivalent.
• Proficient in scripting and automation (Shell, Python, Ansible, Terraform).
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or similar.
• Experience managing databases and production environments is an advantage.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into scalable and efficient big data platform solutions.
• Design and architect robust big data platforms with high performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Implement end-to-end data processing workflows from data collection to analysis and visualization.
• Work with data scientists, analysts, and engineers to optimize data models and algorithms.
• Lead the implementation and deployment of big data technologies with integration to existing systems.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams on big data best practices.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define data governance and security policies.
• Conduct performance tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting of big data platforms.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and provide adoption recommendations.
• Deliver projects including big data platform implementations, data warehouse architectures, data analysis, and profiling systems.
