Job summary

Tencent is expanding its Corporate Development Group (CDG) and seeks a highly motivated data engineer in Singapore to support overseas developers and advertising data flows.

You will collaborate with global teams to translate business needs into scalable data engineering solutions while ensuring data quality and performance across the infrastructure. Fluent English and Mandarin are required.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in computer science or related majors.
• Familiar with big data technologies and distributed computing (Hadoop, Spark, Flink, Clickhouse).
• Strong coding ability in at least one language (Scala, Python, C++, Go, or Java).
• Proactive, enthusiastic, with good learning ability, problem solving and communication skills.
• Proficient in English and Mandarin for global collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Construct and maintain data reports for overseas developers and overseas advertising data indicators.
• Develop data flow for the overseas advertising system and maintain the data system.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into data engineering solutions.
• Ensure data quality, reliability, and performance across the data infrastructure.

• Take charge of the development of the data flow of the overseas advertising system and the maintenance of the data system.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into data engineering solutions.
• Ensure data quality, reliability, and performance across the data infrastructure.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in computer science or related majors.
• Familiar with big data technologies and distributed computing, such as Hadoop, Spark, Flink, Clickhouse, etc.
• Strong coding ability, familiar with at least one programming language, such as Scala, python, C++, Go, or Java.
• Familiar with the Linux operating system and have practical operation skills.
• Be proactive, have strong work enthusiasm, stress resistance, and communication skills, as well as good learning ability and problem analysis and solving skills.
• Professional working proficiency in English and Mandarin is required, as the role regularly involves participating in meetings and reviewing written materials in both languages with global teams and with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders at our headquarters in China.
