Job summary

GovTech invites applications for a Lecturer (Big Data Analytics) in the School of Informatics & IT. The role involves teaching full-time and part-time modules in Data Analytics, AI, ML, and related ICT subjects, with emphasis on curriculum design and student outcomes.

The successful candidate will develop and deliver curriculum, mentor students, and participate in outreach activities, collaborations with industry, and school initiatives.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Data Science, or AI.
• At least 7 years of relevant industry experience in areas such as Data Science, Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, Data Management, Data Analytics, Machine Learning, Agentic AI, or Text Analytics.

Responsibilities

• Teach full-time and part-time courses in Data Analytics, AI, ML, Data Engineering, Data Management.
• Develop and review curriculum, course materials and assessments.
• Guide students in AI and analytics projects involving real-world datasets and predictive analytics.
• Coach and mentor students to support academic and professional development.
• Contribute to School initiatives through outreach, committees, projects and events.
