About the Role

Writes responses to customer requests, manages the overall development and production of winning sales proposals, and positions LexisNexis Risk Solutions as the preferred provider for data, technology, and analytical solutions.

Supports Proposal Managers and our sales organization and works with multiple functional areas such as pricing, legal, product, technical, and marketing (response team) to develop persuasive responses to customer requests (RFPs, RFIs) and other proposal documents.

Responsibilities

  1. Works with proposal response team to develop highly readable, persuasive responses for proposals (RFPs) communicating solutions responsive to RFP requirements
  2. Assists in identifying win themes and discriminators that position LexisNexis Risk Solutions as preferred vendor
  3. Meets proposal deadlines by establishing priorities and target dates for information gathering, writing, reviews, approvals and signatures
  4. Manages the proposal production process
  5. Maintains a strong working knowledge of LexisNexis Risk Solutions products and services, business strategies, plans and competition
  6. Composes clear, concise answers to customer inquiries or requests for clarification
  7. Assists sales team with presentations
  8. Contributes to proposal database repository including frequently asked questions, templates and examples
  9. Evaluates and recommends process improvements

Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s level degree in a related subject area preferred (e.g. Communications, English, Business, Journalism).
  2. Minimum three years bid management or support experience
  3. Professional or Native level fluency in both English and Mandarin OR Japanese to effectively communicate with Mandarin OR Japanese-speaking clients (written and verbal).
  4. Strong proficiency in writing, editing and desktop publishing using MS Office products
  5. Excellent business communication skills
  6. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to solve business issues and build solutions
  7. Ability to collaborate closely and effectively with sales and other team members whilst managing multiple and complex bids/projects concurrently
  8. Attention to detail, follow-up, and resolution
