Bid Estimator (Fire alarm experience/ Security experience)

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated estimator to manage detailed pricing and take-offs for a variety of projects, from small modifications to major bids. This role involves conducting site surveys, engaging with clients and suppliers, and ensuring clarity in project scopes.

Job Responsibilities

1. Conduct site surveys to interpret and expand client briefs, facilitating the creation of suitable bids.
2. Develop and implement standard processes to efficiently handle a high volume of bids.
3. Communicate with suppliers and subcontractors across Europe, Asia, and the US to secure the best pricing and terms for AVTEL.
4. Participate in and lead group-wide bid processes as needed.
5. Perform detailed take-offs and measurements for all aspects of security projects to respond effectively to bid inquiries.
6. Attend sales meetings to set priorities and support team members in maintaining momentum in the bidding process.
7. Lead formal bid activities when tendering for projects, coordinating with the lead salesperson to establish key priorities.
8. Collaborate with other AVTEL Group entities in Asia to create bids for global customers.

Who You Are

1. You possess knowledge of Integrated Electronic Security Systems like CCTVs, Alarm Systems, etc.
2. You have relevant working experience in the Electronic Security industry.
3. Working knowledge of pricing jobs in the international market especially EMEA and APAC regions.
4. Advanced MS Excel skills are required.
5. Strong Commercial Acumen.
6. Effective communication, negotiation, and time management skills.
7. Strong team member, collaborator with go-getter attitude.

The candidate will require a working knowledge of the following systems:

1. Lenel Access Control: A strong knowledge of Lenel hardware and software configurations.
2. CCTV: Knowledge of both IP and Analogue CCTV systems including the use of network video recorders and software.
3. Integrated Systems: Experience with major integrated Access Control/CCTV/Intruder systems/Perimeter detection systems that are fully integrated.
4. Intruder Alarms: Basic competency in measurement and pricing intruder alarms.
5. Service: You will have a good working knowledge of service in the security industry and shall be able to price various service solutions.
6. Advanced MS Excel skills will be required.
7. Awareness of commercial business terms and conditions commonly adopted within the security industry.
8. You will have a working knowledge of pricing jobs in the APAC market.
