The Role

Working hours: 5.5 days a week

Bengali Medical Translator, acting as a chaperone and assisting patients with limited English proficiency. Responsibilities include handling all logistical arrangements such as inquiries, medical appointments, admissions/evacuations, entry visa/visa extensions, accommodation, ambulance, and limousine services.

Key Accountabilities

• Chaperone services
• Visa arrangements & ICA duties
• Arranging accommodation in Singapore during medical treatment
• Travel arrangements, reconfirmation, and rescheduling of tickets for patients and accompanying personnel
• Multilingual interpretation during consultations with doctors for patients with limited English proficiency
• Arranging sightseeing activities in Singapore for patients and companions
• Doctor’s referrals and medical appointment arrangements
• Repatriation of patients or mortal remains back to their home country
• Managing IPS office operations
• Performing other duties as assigned by the Manager or division head

Key Performance Indicators

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or Degree in any discipline
• Preferably 3 years of customer service experience in the service industry
• Medical background and interpretation experience preferred
• Bilingual with proficiency in Bengali (spoken, written, and reading)
• Good telephone etiquette and customer service skills
• Friendly personality and good listening skills
• Patient and compassionate towards guests and patients
• Proficient in MS Office

Additional Information

• Willing to work after hours, on weekends, and public holidays
