A leading company in logistics is seeking a skilled Business Development Manager to drive growth by identifying new business opportunities and managing customer relationships. Job description

Working Hours: Mon - Fri, 9am -6pm

Salary package: Basic salary + transport allowance + commission/incentive

Job Responsibilities:

Primary responsibilities:

  • Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities and customers for the organization.

  • Lead customer engagement efforts and drive growth for assigned accounts in the region.

  • Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with all assigned customers.

  • Take the lead in preparing customer quotations and proposals.

  • Achieve targets and contribute to increasing the organization’s revenue, sales volume, and gross profit.

  • Implement business development strategies and tactics effectively.

  • Collaborate with management and leadership in developing sales plans, strategies, and tactics when needed.

  • Coordinate with local and regional product teams (including Air, Ocean, and others) to secure competitive rates for customer proposals.

  • Oversee and analyze the performance of assigned accounts, identify areas requiring action, and implement necessary measures.

  • Support or enable the expansion of assigned accounts both regionally and globally when needed.

Secondary responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with leadership and relevant stakeholders to implement both new and existing sales initiatives.

  • Assist with tenders, RFQs, and bids when required.

  • Foster positive relationships with internal stakeholders, including Tech, Product, Customer Service, Operations, and others.

  • Contribute ideas for process improvements and support the implementation of related enhancements.

  • Manage relationships with internal stakeholders effectively.

  • Execute and manage additional tasks as assigned by both direct and indirect managers.

Job Requirements:

  • Degree / Diploma in Business Administration, Sales & Marketing or relevant field.

  • Minimum 5 years of customer-facing sales experience, with at least three years in a sales management role within the freight forwarding, shipping, logistics, or supply chain industry.

  • Proven track record in executing successful sales development strategies.

  • Strong working knowledge of freight forwarding and/or logistics operations and the sales process.
