Key job responsibilities

• Lead complex partnership negotiations and develop agreements
• Build a comprehensive strategic partner pipeline

• Coordinate cross-functional stakeholder alignment
• Prioritize partnerships supporting Amazon’s Climate Pledge Goals
• Manage multiple high-priority projects concurrently
• Create and present executive-level business cases and recommendations

A day in the life

As a Business Development Manager, you will:

• Identify, evaluate, negotiate, and close strategic partnership agreements across real estate, energy, critical equipment, construction, utilities, and infrastructure solutions
• Collaborate with AWS Capacity Delivery teams to understand needs and identify partnership opportunities
• Build and maintain a pipeline of vendors/suppliers in Digital Infrastructure such as energy companies, power utilities, data center developers, OEMs, etc.
• Negotiate partnership agreements with vendors, coordinating with internal teams like Energy, Supply Solutions, Procurement, Legal, and Finance
• Establish and maintain executive connections with partners’ leadership through meetings and workshops
• Post-agreement, manage relationships and explore collaboration opportunities to meet Amazon’s infrastructure needs
