We are seeking a BCA-licensed technician to support building compliance, inspections, and maintenance activities.

The successful candidate will carry out on-site inspections, perform routine checks, and liaise with contractors and regulatory authorities to ensure that buildings and systems meet BCA codes and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular and ad-hoc inspections of building systems (structural, M&E, lifts, plumbing, fire protection as applicable) to verify compliance with BCA regulations and project specifications.
- Prepare clear inspection reports, non-conformance reports, and maintenance records; track remediation and follow up to closure.
- Assist with permit and license applications, submission of required documentation to BCA or other authorities, and support audits and site visits by regulators.
- Implement and monitor preventive maintenance schedules and record keeping (logbooks, CAFM/EAM systems).
- Ensure safe working practices on site; conduct or participate in toolbox talks and safety briefings; report hazards and near misses.
- Liaise with project managers, building owners, tenants, and external contractors to coordinate works and access.
- Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and critical spare parts; ensure calibration and statutory testing are up to date.
Qualifications and Certifications
- Current and valid BCA license relevant to the trade and scope of work (please specify the required license type in your posting).
- Diploma or certification in Building Technology, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related trade certification (or equivalent trade qualification).
Technical Knowledge & Skills
- Strong working knowledge of BCA codes/regulations and relevant Singapore/local standards.
- Proficient in completing inspection forms, technical reports, and using CAFM/EAM or Microsoft Office tools.
- Good diagnostic/troubleshooting skills and ability to read drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to liaise effectively with regulators, contractors, and clients.
- Ability to work independently on site and as part of a team; flexible with occasional after-hours response for emergencies.
