Job summary

The Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKCMedicine) invites applications for a Research Assistant/Associate to join the Centre for Geroscience and Geromedicine at NTU Singapore. The role focuses on translational bat immunology and aging research led by Nanyang Assistant Professor Matae Ahn, exploring bat longevity to identify novel targets for human health.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences or related field required or preferred.
Prior experience in immunology or aging is preferred but not mandatory for strong candidates with solid academic/research record.
Experience with animal work, tissue processing/histology or single-cell & spatial transcriptomics library preparation is a major advantage; strong learning agility is expected.
Strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills; able to work as part of a diverse team.

Responsibilities

Conduct accurate monitoring, documenting and reporting of experimental results and/or research findings.
Maintain a safe, highly organized laboratory environment by managing equipment and consumables, while leading workplace safety and risk assessments.
Assist researchers in data analysis and literature review in various research projects.
Evaluate and interpret collected data and prepare oral presentations, written reports and scientific manuscripts for publication.
Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
