Job summary

V-ELEGANT PTE. LTD. seeks a patient-oriented healthcare assistant to support ward operations and patient care on site. You will respond to call bells, assist in transfers, hygiene, and routine rounds to ensure patient comfort and safety.

The role includes helping with admissions, orientation of new patients, and basic feeding for those who can swallow normally. English communication is essential, and CPR/AED certification is required or obtained upon hire.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualification: PSLE / WPLN level 3 or equivalent.
• Conversant in English; CPR/AED basic provider certification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Attend to patients' call bells.
• Assist with lifting, transferring, positioning and transporting of patients.
• Assist in ambulation of patients, assist in admission and orientation of new patients.
• Attend to patients' elimination needs - offers, removes and sanitize bedpans and urinals.
• Assist patient with basic personal hygiene, change bed linen and perform bed making.
• Conduct frequent/ regular rounds to attend to patient's needs, comfort and safety.
• Collect MRSA swabs (nasal, axilla, groin) and dispatch.
• Clinical Observation, care of patient with urine catheter.
• Observe general condition of patients and reports observations to the nurse-in-charge (e.g. behaviour change).
• Nutritional needs, perform oral feeding for patients with normal swallowing ability.
• Orientate patient on ward environment and visitor policy.
