Job description

What do we expect from you?

Under the general guidance of the Director of Food & Beverage or any other authorized by management, to manage and develop the restaurant's food and beverage standards and to ensure maximization of departmental profits. To optimize guest satisfaction through high operating standards and to carry out management shifts, taking responsibility for the entire operation.

How your day looks like:

  • Ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the restaurant
  • Assist the restaurant leadership team in achieving high guest satisfaction
  • Guide and lead the restaurant servers
  • Perform supervisory duties regularly
  • Maximize sales potential and encourage upselling to increase revenue
  • Secure cash floats at all times
  • Work within budgeted costs
  • Minimize abuse of operating equipment
  • Ensure requisitions for supplies are completed, delivered, and accounted for
  • Minimize overtime use
  • Ensure sufficient operating equipment at all times
  • Record all voids and report payment discrepancies to the Restaurant Manager
  • Follow company procedures for handling cash, credit cards, and cheques
  • Address guest complaints and report all issues to the manager
  • Liaise with colleagues regarding guest requirements and needs
  • Ensure proper handover at shift change
  • Coordinate regularly with the Head Chef and Reception
  • Gather customer feedback consistently
  • Complete a daily report of events in the Management Report Book
  • Create and maintain respectful relationships with regular guests
  • Maintain high customer service standards, addressing comments, questions, complaints, and requests promptly and courteously
  • Understand guest needs to provide efficient and friendly service
  • Maintain quality and consistency in food, beverage, guest service, and cleanliness
  • Support other hotel revenue centers such as Rooms and Events
  • Be results-driven and accountable
  • Participate in daily business review meetings, weekly sales meetings, and other relevant gatherings
  • Conduct regular inspections to protect and maintain company assets
  • Enhance the business reputation within the community by engaging with local influencers
  • Perform any other duties within the scope of the job as requested
