Job summary

A leading hospitality firm in Singapore seeks an experienced Bar Manager to oversee daily operations, lead a team, and enhance guest experiences. Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years in bar management, preferably in hotels, and must possess strong mixology knowledge along with leadership and communication skills. This role involves managing inventory, curating cocktail menus, and ensuring compliance with hygiene and safety standards.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily bar operations, ensuring smooth service and compliance with hotel standards.

  • Lead, train, and motivate the bar team to deliver exceptional guest experiences and uphold brand standards.

  • Manage beverage inventory, ordering, and cost control to achieve profitability targets.

  • Curate and update cocktail menus in collaboration with the mixologists, maintaining innovation and quality.

  • Monitor bar performance, guest feedback, and implement service improvement initiatives.

  • Analyze and manage P&L to reduce expenses and enhance profitability.

  • Coordinate with the culinary, events, and marketing teams to drive bar promotions and guest engagement.

  • Identify and capitalize on opportunities for expansion.

  • Ensure adherence to hygiene, safety, and licensing regulations.

  • Handle staff scheduling, performance appraisals, and development planning.

  • Work with HR to recruit team members, manage staffing levels and outsourced labor.

Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of bar experience, with at least 1 year in Bar Manager role.

  • Experience in managing bar in hotel would be advantageous.

  • Strong knowledge of mixology, wine, and spirits trends.

  • Must have experience working in Asia or World 50 best bar.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Proven ability to manage operations efficiently in a high-volume environment.

  • Creative, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering memorable guest experiences.
