An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Banquet Operations Manager to assist in overseeing daily operations within the food and beverage sector. This role involves coordinating event setups, managing manpower resources, and ensuring high service standards are met. Responsibilities:
Assist the Director of F&B in overseeing and coordinating daily banquet operations with appropriate delegation.
Uphold service standards and ensure proper function room setup in accordance with event requirements and company objectives.
Execute banquet setup tasks, including room arrangements, dining table settings, buffet layouts, and refreshment stations, based on Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and specific instructions.
Conduct thorough checks to ensure all setups (function rooms, refreshment areas, etc.) are properly completed prior to each event's commencement.
Monitor event progress and maintain close communication with the culinary team to ensure smooth execution.
Plan and manage manpower resources—including casual labor and overtime—based on business needs and budgetary guidelines.
Conduct briefings for the service team to align on service expectations and ensure high service standards are consistently met.
Supervise the use of banquet equipment, ensuring it is handled properly and in line with standard operating procedures.
Manage event billing in accordance with BEO instructions and prepare post-event reports for follow-up.
Address guest feedback and complaints promptly, applying service recovery techniques and implementing preventative measures to avoid recurrence.
Collaborate closely with the culinary team to maintain food quality, ensure timely delivery, and guarantee accurate setup and presentation for all events.
Requirements:
Diploma in F&B Operations Management or equivalent.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the F&B industry, with a strong background in banquet operations.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong leadership abilities and a team-oriented mindset.
