Job description

Job Statement :

  • Integral part of the Settlement Team, reporting directly to the Settlement Supervisor, with dotted line to the Operations Dept. Head.
  • Critical responsibility includes ensuring accurate, valid and smooth day-to-day settlement of the Bank’s financial transactions and internal processes.
  • Primary daily role involves supporting back-office operations, maintaining the integrity and efficiency of the Bank’s settlement operations, ensuring regulatory compliance and minimizing operational risks associated with financial transactions.

Job Description :


1. Banking Settlement Operations :

a. Confirming and settling day-to-day remittance, both incoming and outgoing fund transfers, through SWIFT and banking system, also trades for treasury products (bonds, money market and forex).

b. Maintaining SLA in operation process.

c. Verifying the accuracy of transaction details, including transaction amounts, dates, and counterparty information.

d. Coordinating with counterparties, brokers, and internal departments to resolve any issues in the transaction details.


2. Documentation and Compliance :

a. Filing of document.

b. Ensuring that all necessary documentation related to the transactions is complete and accurate.

c. Adhering to regulatory compliance in the settlement process.


3. Cash Management :

a. Managing the flow of funds associated with settled transactions.

b. Reconciling cash positions and resolving any discrepancies.


4. Account Opening : for both loan and savings - execute operational process, through banking system.


Criteria:

  • 2 years of experience as banking settlement officer and/or back-office operations aka teller support, with exposure in SWIFT Alliance System and SWIFT messages (MT 1xx, 2xx, 3xx, 9xx).
  • Diploma in Accountancy and/or Finance or above, bachelor degree highly prioritised.
  • Meticulous attention to details with proficiency in numbers.
  • Strong communications skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic financial environment.
  • Competency to hit the ground running in the role.
  • Fluency in English.
