Job summary

A leading staffing agency in Singapore is seeking a cash management and FX operations specialist. The role includes supporting settlement activities, optimizing interest returns, and managing multi-currency cash funding. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or related fields and 2-3 years of relevant experience in financial institutions. This position requires strong analytical skills and the ability to work under pressure.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in cash management, FX operations, treasury, or settlements within financial institutions.
  • Excellent knowledge of FX markets and multi-currency cash management.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

  • Support settlement activities for the Equity business under Liquidity Management.
  • Monitor and manage short-term FX exposure to ensure positions are hedged by end of day.
  • Review daily bank statements for overdrafts and investigate root causes.

Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Support settlement activities for the Equity business under Liquidity Management.
  • Manage multi-currency cash funding ensuring accounts are sufficiently funded to meet daily obligations.
  • Monitor and manage short-term FX exposure to ensure open positions are fully hedged by end of day.
  • Optimise interest returns on over SGD 1 billion of Trust monies through strategic investments with counterparty banks, adhering to internal deposit limits.
  • Perform daily FX rate checks to ensure client trade conversions are accurate; investigate discrepancies.
  • Review daily bank statements for overdrafts and investigate root causes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Banking, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in cash management, FX operations, treasury, or settlements within financial institutions.
  • Excellent knowledge of FX markets and multi-currency cash management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with treasury management systems is good to have.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
