As a Bank Group Chef at Athena Care Homes, you will support kitchen teams across 7 care homes to provide outstanding hospitality to residents. About The Role

Reporting to the Head of Culinary & Hospitality, the Bank Group Chef will work closely with Head Chefs and kitchen teams to deliver exceptional dining services. Responsibilities include menu enhancement, food safety compliance, and team motivation.

Salary

£13.37 per hour

Shift Pattern

This is a bank contract, 0-hours per week, with potential for full-time hours based on needs.

Location

This regional role involves working from any of our 7 locations with travel required between sites.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

1. Lead and develop kitchen teams to deliver outstanding catering services.
2. Review and improve catering practices, ensuring food safety and hygiene standards.
3. Support teams to promote choice, dignity, and nutritional needs of residents.
4. Travel between locations to provide support during absences and leave.

Training, Skills & Experience

• Experience as a multi-site Head Chef is essential.
• Experience in a care environment is advantageous.
• Proven leadership, empowerment, and team support skills.
• Full UK driving license, access to a vehicle, and ability to travel between sites.
• Right to work in the UK required; sponsorship not available.
