Job summary

A leading financial services firm in Singapore is seeking a Senior Finance Manager to oversee month-end and year-end financial closing processes, manage P&L reporting, and ensure compliance with MAS regulations. The ideal candidate will have at least 8-10 years of relevant experience and strong leadership skills. Qualifications

Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing the month-end and year-end financial closing process, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
  • Oversee the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Perform variance analysis and provide insights on key financial trends and deviations.
  • Manage general ledger reconciliations and ensure integrity of accounting records.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze detailed P&L statements for various business units.
  • Ensure daily compliance with MAS regulations, including monitoring and reporting of key financial ratios and thresholds.
  • Prepare and submit MAS regulatory returns and surveys in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors, and ensure audit readiness and transparency.
  • Stay updated with changes in regulatory requirements and assess their impact on the bank's financial reporting.
  • Supervise and guide junior finance team members to ensure efficient operations.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency in financial reporting.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field / Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or CA.
  • Minimum 8-10 years of relevant experience, preferably in the banking or financial services industry.
  • Strong knowledge of MAS reporting requirements and financial regulations in Singapore.
  • Experience in managing month-end financial closing and P&L reporting.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Prior experience in a MAS-regulated financial institution.
