Job summary

Bakeri Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a Head of Production to lead all bakery manufacturing operations, driving efficiency, quality, and regulatory compliance across our facilities.

You will establish SOPs for food safety, plan production schedules, manage budgets, supervise staff, support audits and new product launches, and relentlessly pursue continuous improvement. A data-driven leadership style and strong collaboration with cross-functional teams are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma or professional certification in Baking & Pastry Arts, Culinary Arts, Food Technology / Science or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional baking experience or food manufacturing experience.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution capabilities.
• Data-driven mindset with strong analytical and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage daily production operations to ensure optimal efficiency, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Plan and control production schedules to maintain an efficient workflow aligned with production goals and seasonal demand swings.
• Establish and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for food safety, hygiene, production efficiency, and quality assurance.
• Ensure all products comply with internal quality standards, food safety regulations, SFA, HACCP and other regulatory frameworks.
• Lead, supervise, train, and evaluate production supervisors and staff.
• Oversee manpower planning, shift scheduling, attendance tracking, and overall labour productivity.
• Manage operating budgets, control wastage, and reduce production costs without compromising quality.
• Identify production issues, bottlenecks, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Troubleshoot production processes to resolve production, quality, and regulatory compliance issues.
• Drive product innovation and support new product launches and seasonal items.
• Support audits, inspections, and certification renewals when required.
• Report production performance, risks, and improvement plans to management.
