Our Client a manufacturer of bread, cakes, and confectionery in Singapore, is inviting qualified candidates to fill the position as Baker (Commis).

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist in ingredient preparation, cold room retrieval, and misc en place tasks
  • Support in basic production activities such as (i) shaping, filling, frosting, unmoulding
  • Maintain workstation cleanliness, and help with storage and organization
  • Learn and follow SOPs with the goal of growing into more skilled roles
  • Provide flexible support across the production line as directed
REQUIREMENTS
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Baker/Pastry Commis or in a similar kitchen production role
  • Familiar with production routines and able to follow established processes
  • Basic knowledge of bread and pastry production, including ingredient preparation, shaping, filling, frosting, and packing
  • Understanding of mise en place, workstation organisation, and hygiene standards
  • Good communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable, disciplined, and eager to learn
  • Positive attitude and adaptability to support different stations as directed
  • Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
  • Certificate in Pastry & Bakery or equivalent is advantageous
  • Basic Food Hygiene Certification (WSQ) preferred (or willingness to obtain)
