Job summary
A baking company in Singapore is looking for a pastry chef to manage production and baking of various pastries, cakes, and breads. Candidates should have a Diploma in Pastry and Bakery and a Certificate in Food Safety and Hygiene. Experience working with or training special needs individuals is preferred. The role requires a commitment to hygiene and quality while assisting in menu development.

Job Description
- Should have relevant experience working with / training special needs individuals.
- Production and baking of a variety of pastries, cakes and breads on a daily basis.
- Good food presentation skills and prepare food following the established standards.
- Assist in the development of new menu concepts and ideas.
- Administer stock supplies, quality, order and costing of food.
- Manage cost and quality controls.
- Maintain a high standard of hygiene, health and safety in the kitchen.
- Cleaning of food preparation areas, cooking surfaces and washing of utensils.
- Coordinates with the service and other departments on the kitchen and customers’ requirements.
- Having a can-do attitude and be committal.
- Any other ad-hoc duties assigned, includes inventory and costing of items.
