Job summary

Our client, a well-established global MNC in the semiconductor industry, seeks a Test Equipment Technician to support backend inspection and testing operations in North-East Singapore. The role involves 12-hour shifts on a 12-month renewable contract, with opportunities for renewal and additional allowances discussed at offer stage.

Qualifications

• Minimum Nitec or Diploma in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Experience in backend semiconductor inspection/test processes preferred.
• Hands-on equipment experience with test and inspection equipment preferred.
• Willing to work a 12-hour shift pattern.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of semiconductor backend test equipment.
• Carry out equipment calibration, setup and conversion to ensure operational efficiency.
• Support backend semiconductor inspection and testing processes.
• Work closely with engineers and production teams to minimize equipment downtime and improve reliability.
• Maintain proper equipment documentation and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Perform other engineering and maintenance duties as assigned.

Job description

Our client is a well-established global MNC in the semiconductor industry, specializing in advanced semiconductor technology and manufacturing solutions. They are seeking a Test Equipment Technician to support their backend semiconductor inspection and testing operations.

Location: North-East Singapore
Working Hours: 12-hour shift pattern
Employment Type: 12-month contract (Renewable)

Job Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of semiconductor backend test equipment.

Job Requirements

• Minimum Nitec or Diploma in Engineering or a related technical discipline.

• Hands-on experience with VITROX Scanner, ICOS or MicroVision equipment is an advantage.

• Experience in electronics or semiconductor manufacturing is preferred.

• Strong troubleshooting and equipment maintenance skills.

• Able to work independently and collaborate effectively with engineering and production teams.

• Willing to work a 12-hour shift pattern.
