Job summary

Fireworks is building a high-performance AI infrastructure platform in Singapore, seeking a Backend Software Engineer to design and implement core backend components that power scalable AI workloads. You will ensure efficiency, reliability, and stability while partnering with product and research teams.

Ideal candidates hold a CS/Engineering degree with 3+ years in ML infra (PyTorch, Vertex AI, Sagemaker) and experience scaling enterprise ML systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of ML infra experience (PyTorch, Vertex AI, Sagemaker, etc.).
• Experience building and scaling enterprise-grade ML systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and build core backend software components for the AI platform.
• Conduct design/code reviews and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Optimize infrastructure for AI workloads (compute, storage, networking).
