Job summary

Hunter Bond is seeking a Backend Python Software Engineer in Singapore to join a fast-paced fintech trading environment. You will design and build scalable backend systems and high-performance APIs to support multiple asset classes.

The role requires 4+ years of professional experience, strong Python expertise, and a solid understanding of databases, data structures and distributed systems. You will collaborate with traders and researchers to deliver robust, reliable software.

Qualifications

• 1-6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience building APIs, backend services or microservices.
• Understanding of databases, data structures, algorithms and software design principles.
• Experience with distributed systems, cloud infrastructure or high-performance applications is advantageous.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a similar discipline preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable, high-performance backend applications and services.
• Build robust Python-based APIs, microservices and distributed systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including traders, quantitative researchers and fellow engineers.
• Write clean, maintainable and efficient code, following best practices in software engineering.
