EPAM Systems, Inc. in Singapore is seeking a Java Developer to design and maintain backend microservices using Spring Boot. You will build RESTful APIs, work in an Agile team, and ensure production stability through testing, deployments and on-call support.

You will collaborate with colleagues worldwide, participate in code reviews, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines. Practical experience with Hibernate/Spring Data JPA, relational databases, and container platforms like OpenShift or Kubernetes is

Qualifications

Strong Java development experience with modern LTS JDKs.
Spring framework knowledge including Spring Boot concepts and patterns.
Microservices design, REST API patterns and service-to-service integration.

Responsibilities

Build and enhance backend microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
Design and implement REST APIs aligned to specifications.
Develop persistence and business logic using Hibernate/Spring Data JPA or similar.
Write clean, testable code and maintain strong automated test coverage.
Participate in code reviews and apply feedback to improve quality.
Support CI/CD pipelines for build and deployment workflows.
Troubleshoot production issues using logs, metrics and structured problem-solving.
Contribute to Agile ceremonies including refinement, planning, reviews and retrospectives.
