Job summary

ByteDance PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks an experienced engineer to join the Volcano Engine Knowledge Base team. You will build and optimize the multimodal content understanding pipeline and advance vector database systems to serve public cloud products.

You will design scalable backend architectures, improve model inference performance, and contribute to cloud-native capabilities across monitoring, billing, and scheduling in a fast-growing tech environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Strong programming skills in Python, C++, Golang, or Java.
• Basic understanding of large model applications and RAG systems.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and iterate multimodal content understanding pipeline and resolve bottlenecks to improve development efficiency.
• Optimize vector computing components and model inference performance for large-scale retrieval.
• Design and optimize large model RAG and knowledge base architecture for cloud products.
• Maintain and extend backend architecture of in-house vector databases for multimodal data.
• Drive cloud-native capabilities including monitoring, billing, and elastic scheduling.
