Job summary

Kpler is seeking a Software Engineer to contribute to backend and frontend capabilities, building scalable data pipelines and APIs. You will troubleshoot, optimize performance, and work across product, engineering, and data science teams to deliver reliable product features.

The role emphasizes clean code, testing, CI/CD, and collaborative design discussions, with a focus on data-driven decisions and production readiness.

Qualifications

• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Experience building data processing, transformation, or integration workflows using Python.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance backend services, data pipelines, APIs and user-facing features within scope and guidance.
• Write clean, secure, well-tested code following engineering best practices.
• Contribute to technical design discussions and implementation decisions.
• Investigate and debug production and development issues using logs and metrics.
• Support system reliability and performance through monitoring, testing, deployment, and operational improvements.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, analysts, and data scientists to clarify requirements and deliver capabilities.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback on peers' work.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for features and processes.
