About the specific role
Reporting to the Chief Strategy Officer, dentsu APAC, with a dotted line to the Head of B2B,
the B2B Strategy lead is tasked with leading thinking and partnerships across practices and
owning dentsu’s global and APAC ABM/ABX solution. This role focuses on acting as a
strategic partner to top-tier B2B clients, leading cross-practice strategic initiatives, and
fostering growth through innovative solution development and thought leadership.
A large part of the role will also be driving B2B opportunities from our existing B2C client
contracts.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Client Partnership:
• Act as a strategic partner to key global and APAC Accelerator clients, collaborating
with Integrated Client Leads and Practice Area Leaders to align on client objectives
and develop growth-focused strategies.
• Cultivate strong, trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders, helping them
navigate strategic challenges and opportunities.
Business Development and Pitch Leadership:
• Lead the strategic component APAC B2B pitches, framing challenges and
developing insights-driven narratives.
• Partner with growth officers and client leads to create integrated strategies that
drive business outcomes and position Dentsu as a strategic partner of choice.
ABM/ABX Solution Leadership:
• Define and implement a comprehensive vision for the ABM/ABX solution that aligns
with client needs and industry advancements.
• Continuously evolve the ABM/ABX framework by integrating new capabilities and
technologies to maintain a competitive edge.
• Oversee the development of ABM/ABX solutions as scalable offerings that
contribute to Dentsu’s market differentiation.
• Develop and promote a strong point of view on ABM/ABX and B2B marketing
through whitepapers, webinars, and participation in industry events.
Thought Leadership and Industry Engagement:
• Build external relationships with thought leaders and third-party resources to
enhance credibility and market presence.
• Lead the creation of vertical-specific “Centers of Excellence” that leverage internal
talent to produce thought leadership and strategy playbooks.
• Collaborate and network with broader B2B community to create and customize
global thought leadership for APAC (eg Superpowers)
Team Growth and Leadership:
• Potential to grow team and lead new hire B2B strategists, fostering development
through training, platform certifications, and alignment with best practices.
• Encourage a collaborative culture that emphasizes knowledge-sharing, leading to
the development of case studies, award-winning work, and published insights.
Innovation and Emerging Solutions:
• Spearhead innovation initiatives that leverage data, AI, and digital solutions to
create forward-thinking, actionable marketing strategies.
Horizontally collaborate with wider strategy community:
• As part of the APAC regional strategy team, you will collaborate with wider team and
contribute your expert perspective on broader initiatives.
