Job description

We are a dynamic IP (Intellectual Property) company with retail stores specializing in our flagship IP character, Singapore’s Iconic Merlion. As we expand our presence in Singapore’s tourism market, we seek a proactive B2B Sales Manager to drive partnerships, licensing opportunities, and brand growth within tourism-related industries.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Business Development & Strategic Partnerships

  • Proactively identify and secure B2B opportunities with key tourism stakeholders (hotels, resorts, attractions, travel agencies, and retail distributors) to promote our Merlion IP
  • Leverage and expand your existing tourism industry network to create high-impact collaborations and licensing deals
  • Structure and negotiate win-win partnerships that drive IP commercialization and market penetration

2. Key Account & Relationship Management

  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with high-value clients, becoming their trusted advisor
  • Conduct needs analysis to tailor solutions that enhance client satisfaction and unlock upsell opportunities
  • Act as the primary point of contact for major accounts, ensuring seamless communication and service excellence

3. Sales Leadership & Revenue Generation

  • Own the end-to-end sales process – from lead generation and pitching to contract negotiation and closing
  • Deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals that highlight our IP's unique value proposition
  • Optimize deal structures and pricing strategies to maximize profitability while maintaining strong partnerships

4. Tourism Market Expansion

  • Develop and execute market growth strategies to establish our IP in Singapore’s tourism ecosystem
  • Identify and capitalize on retail distribution and experiential collaboration opportunities
  • Position our brand as the premier choice for tourism merchandise and co-branded initiatives

5. Brand Building & Industry Presence

  • Collaborate with Marketing to amplify brand visibility through tourism campaigns and trade events
  • Represent the company at industry forums and networking platforms to strengthen our market position

6. Performance Management

  • Consistently exceed sales targets for licensing and partnership deals
  • Provide data-driven insights and regular performance reports to guide business decisions

7. Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Work closely with Product, Marketing, and Operations teams to align sales strategies with business goals
  • Translate customer feedback into actionable improvements for products and services

8. Operational Excellence

  • Ensure all sales activities comply with company policies and industry standards
  • Support special projects and initiatives directed by the Managing Director

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field

5+ years in B2B sales management, at least 2 years’ experience in B2B sales/business development, preferably in tourism, retail, or IP licensing.

Strong network within Singapore’s tourism industry (e.g., hotels, attractions, travel agencies).

Deep understanding of tourism market trends and experience scaling brands in this sector.

Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.

Ability to strategize and execute initiatives that align with company growth goals.

Proven track record in hitting & exceeding revenue targets

Leadership ability to motivate and develop sales teams

Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills
