This role focuses on designing and developing scalable enterprise-grade APIs using Java or .NET, with a strong emphasis on Azure services. The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of experience in API development and integration, proficiency in REST and SOAP protocols, and the ability to work within CI/CD environments. Strong communication skills in English and Chinese are preferred.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in enterprise application/API development.

• Strong hands-on experience with Azure services, especially Azure API Management, Azure Functions, and Azure DevOps.

Job description

We are looking for a seasoned Azure API Developer with at least 8 years of experience in developing and integrating enterprise-grade APIs using Java, .NET, and Azure DevOps. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in RESTful and SOAP-based services, JSON/XML data formats, and CI/CD practices within Microsoft Azure environments.

Key responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain scalable RESTful and SOAP APIs using Java or .NET frameworks.

• Integrate APIs with cloud-native services on Microsoft Azure, including API Management (APIM), Azure Functions, and Logic Apps.
• Work closely with architecture and infrastructure teams to define and implement API design and security standards.
• Write clean, testable code and support continuous integration/delivery pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• Design and manage JSON/XML schemas for data exchange across applications.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing API solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, business analysts, and DevOps.

Required skills and experience:

• 8+ years of experience in enterprise application/API development.
• Proficiency in Java and/or .NET for backend development.
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure services, especially:
  Azure API Management (APIM)
  Azure Functions
  Azure DevOps (Pipelines, Repos, Boards)
• Solid understanding of REST and SOAP protocols and hands-on experience building both.
• Expertise in JSON and XML data structures and transformations.
• Experience in securing APIs using OAuth2.0, JWT, or Azure AD.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, source control (Git), and agile development practices.
• Chinese language skills to communicate with other Chinese counterparts.

Good to have:

• Knowledge of OpenAPI/Swagger documentation
• Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker/Kubernetes
• Experience working in consulting or client-facing environments
