Job summary

Cloud Kinetics in Singapore seeks an AWS migration specialist to plan and lead complex cloud cutovers. You will coordinate migration readiness, validate runbooks, and ensure alignment with project milestones.

You will own incident response during migrations, coordinate across infrastructure, application and AWS teams, and monitor adherence to the migration runbook.

The role also mandates documenting lessons learned and updating playbooks to ensure repeatable success.

Qualifications

• Strong Understanding of AWS Solutions and design.
• Extensive experience in troubleshooting AWS issues.
• Good communication skills and ability to lead migrations.

Responsibilities

• Migration Planning & Readiness: Prepare and validate migration cutover plans before the migration window.
• Command & Control During Cutover: Act as the single command-and-control point throughout the migration window; Coordinate activities across infrastructure, application, AWS, and third-party; Monitor adherence to the migration runbook; Track technical and business dependencies during cutover; Ensure cross-team handoffs occur as planned; Own coordination of incident response during migration; Maintain clear visibility of open issues until resolution.
• Progress Monitoring & Reporting: Provide migration progress updates to project leadership; Track migration milestones and completion status; Capture lessons learned after the migration window; Update migration playbooks, runbooks, and SOPs like migration summary.
• Governance: Verify completion of mandatory checkpoints; Confirm documentation and sign-offs are completed before migration closure.
