Job summary

Ambition Singapore seeks a Data Engineer to design and implement an end-to-end AWS data lake and lakehouse architecture in Singapore. You will define data architecture standards, build reusable ingestion pipelines, and govern data across zones.

You'll work with services like S3, Glue, Redshift, Lambda, Kinesis, and AppFlow to enable secure data storage, batch and streaming processing, and observability. The role emphasizes cost efficiency and strong security practices.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in data engineering, data architecture, or cloud infra roles.
• Hands-on experience with AWS data services and data lakehouse patterns.
• Strong SQL skills and Python or Scala scripting.
• Knowledge of data governance, cataloguing, and metadata management.
• Experience with batch and streaming data processing.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect the end-to-end AWS Data Lake and Lakehouse layers.
• Define and govern data architecture standards and best practices.
• Build reusable ingestion pipelines for REST APIs, databases, and SaaS connectors.
• Implement data storage strategies with tiered storage, encryption, and lifecycle policies.
• Develop and deploy ingestion, transformation, orchestration, monitoring, and governance.
• Maintain Glue Data Catalogue, schemas, and metadata tagging.
