Job summary

SportSG is seeking an experienced AWS Data Architect / Data Engineer to design and maintain a centralised AWS Data Lake and Lakehouse platform to support analytics, reporting and AI/ML initiatives in Singapore. Join the Centre of Excellence Team to define data standards, build ingestion pipelines from REST APIs, JDBC, S3 and SaaS, and implement security using AWS Lake Formation and IAM.

The role offers the opportunity to shape a cloud-native data platform across Singapore's sporting ecosystem

Qualifications

• Experience designing data lake/lakehouse architectures.
• Experience with AWS data services and governance.
• Strong data ingestion pipeline development from REST, JDBC, S3 and SaaS sources.

Responsibilities

• Define data architecture standards, patterns and best practices.
• Build reusable data ingestion pipelines from REST APIs, JDBC databases, S3 and SaaS platforms.
• Develop pipelines using AWS Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, EventBridge and API Gateway.
• Build batch and streaming data processing workflows.
• Work with Amazon Redshift for transformation and analytics workloads.
• Manage AWS Glue Data Catalogue, metadata and schema evolution.
• Implement security and governance using AWS Lake Formation, IAM and Secrets Manager.
• Configure granular database, table and column-level access controls.
• Monitor pipeline reliability, data quality and platform performance.
• Troubleshoot data pipeline and data quality issues.
• Optimise AWS platform performance and cloud costs.
• Maintain architecture documentation and operational runbooks.

Are you an experienced AWS Data Architect / Data Engineer with strong expertise in building modern Data Lake, Lakehouse and cloud data platforms?

We are looking for 3 AWS Data professionals to join the Centre of Excellence Team at SportSG and contribute to a next-generation, cloud-native data platform supporting analytics, reporting and AI/ML initiatives.

Up to SGD 9,000/month (All-Inclusive)

Up to SGD 7,200/month (All-Inclusive)

Budget is inclusive of annual & medical leave, medical insurance, phone allowance, CPF, transport allowance and 1 month AWS/Bonus.

As an AWS Data Architect / Engineer, you will help design, build and maintain SportSG’s centralised AWS Data Lake and Lakehouse platform.
