Job summary

GIC seeks an AVP, Investment Services and Support in its Private Markets group (ISPVMF) in Singapore. The role covers finance, reporting, and management support across Real Estate, Private Equity and Infrastructure investments.

You will coordinate due diligence, oversee holding-structure financials, manage banking relationships, and ensure timely financial reporting in a fast-paced, cross-border environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accountancy (or equivalent).
• At least 4 years of relevant experience (ideally Real Estate/Private Equity/Infrastructure) with at least 3 years in a public accounting firm (Audit/Tax).
• Strong teamwork, interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Supports deal teams and stakeholders to evaluate valuation and operational considerations during acquisitions/divestments.
• Provides financial/operational inputs on holding structures and implements related actions.
• Oversees corporate secretarial functions and preparation of financial statements for investment holding companies.
• Develops banking relationships and liaises with banks on funding across countries.
• Reviews financial controls for asset operations and coordinates with external auditors.

Investment Services Private Market and Finance Department

The Investment Services Private Market and Finance Department is responsible for investment services for the private market and financial management across the GIC group. It is responsible for providing operations and reporting support to the private market business of GIC as well as budgeting, accounting, payment processing, cash management, tax and financial & management reporting services to all departments, corporate management companies and the global offices of the GIC group. It is involved in deal structuring and closing, transaction processing, administration and accounting of investment holding companies, review of financial controls for asset operations, cash & securities reconciliation, valuation and financial reporting for assets under management, and external debt financing.

We are looking for a suitable candidate to join our Finance & Accounting Division of ISPVMF for our Private Markets (i.e. Real Estate, Private Equity and Infrastructure Investments) group as an AVP, Investment Services and Support.

Responsibilities

• Supports deal teams and various stakeholders to evaluate the valuation and operation considerations and coordinate financial due diligence during acquisition / divestment process.

Requirements

• With Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accountancy or equivalent.
• At least 4 years of relevant working experience (ideally within either Real Estate, Private Equity or Infrastructure), with at least 3 years in a public accounting firm doing Audit or Tax.
• A strong team player with excellent interpersonal, communication and analytical skills, who is keen to learn and pick up new challenges in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
• Driven self-starter, with strong initiative, who is hands-on and comfortable to manage multiple tasks, is confident to engage different stakeholders, and can work independently to deliver outcomes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and have practical working experience with accounting software systems.

Language

• As the incumbent will be required to cover the China market, business level fluency in Mandarin would be an added advantage for this role
