As an Assistant Vice President (AVP) or Vice President (VP) in the Investments team, you will play a key role in sourcing, evaluating, executing, and managing investments for theTechnology-based Solutions (TBS)pillar. You will work with internal and external stakeholders to identify and evaluate investment opportunities, deal execution and managing portfolio companies to drive value creation.

Responsibilities

1. Investment Sourcing & Evaluation

  • Identify and screen investment opportunities across the key decarbonisationthemes and sectors,such as biofuels, circular economy and energy transition.
  • Proactively identify investment themes and thesis-driven opportunities across targeted sectors.
  • Build strong industry networks to support origination and deal sourcing.
  • Lead workstreams on technical analysis (e.g. financial modelling, unit economics analysis, valuation, benchmarking).
  • Conduct in-depth due diligence (e.g. industry dynamics, competitive landscape, regulatory environment).
  • Prepare investment memos and present recommendations to the Investment Committee.

2. Deal Execution

  • Lead or support transaction execution, including structuring, negotiations, documentation, and closing processes
  • Collaborate with internal teams (policy & analytics, legal & compliance, risks, finance) throughout the deal lifecycle.

3. Portfolio Management

  • Monitor portfolio company performance and support their strategic and operational initiatives.
  • Work closely with management teams and other shareholders on business plans to drive value creation, including operational improvements, M&A strategies, strategic repositioning.

4. Strategic Initiatives / Ecosystem Management

  • Contribute to other organisational or institutional work (e.g. investment strategy / portfolio construction, thematic deep dives/ landscape studies, thought leadership initiatives).
  • Represent the organisation at industry events and foster partnerships with ecosystem stakeholders (startups, VCs, policy groups).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.STEMor relevant graduate degree is a plus.
  • 4-7+ years of experience in private equity, venture capital, investment banking, or corporate development. Climate or sustainability-related experience is preferred.
  • Strong financial modelling, valuation, and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated interest in climate change, sustainability, and impact investing.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.

Preferred Attributes

  • Familiarity with climate tech or broader decarbonisation areas.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a bias for action and collaboration.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
