An established bank in Singapore is seeking a Vice President for Credit Analysis & Underwriting. This pivotal role involves leading credit assessments for corporate clients across Asia, collaborating with teams to develop tailored credit solutions, and monitoring portfolio performance. The position offers a hybrid work setup, competitive compensation, and a focus on career development within a high-performing team.
Lead in-depth credit analysis and underwriting for new and existing corporate banking clients across Asia
Evaluate bilateral, syndicated, and structured lending deals in the bank’s banking book
Prepare and present sharp, well-argued credit proposals to internal credit committees
Collaborate with RMs and Product Partners to shape credit solutions that align with client needs and the bank’s risk appetite
Monitor portfolio performance and recommend proactive risk mitigation strategies
Stay ahead of regulatory developments and market trends across Singapore, Hong Kong, India, Southeast Asia, and beyond
8–12 years of credit analysis/underwriting experience in corporate or institutional banking
Deep understanding of credit risk frameworks, regulatory standards, and regional banking book exposures
Strong grasp of complex financials, industry dynamics, and deal structures
Proven ability to communicate credit views clearly and credibly to senior stakeholders
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics (CFA/CPA a plus)
