Job summary

A leading financial institution seeks a Corporate Strategy professional with substantial experience in strategy consulting. The role encompasses analyzing market trends, formulating corporate strategies, and managing stakeholder engagements to enhance performance and growth opportunities. Qualifications

  • At least 5 years’ experience in Strategy Consulting / Corporate Strategy in a Financial Institution.
  • Knowledge in Banking with expertise in Corporate Banking / Global Banking preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Surveillance and analysis of market trends and strategic responses.
  • Lead partnership workstreams and develop Go-To-Market propositions.
  • Drive and manage Country-level KPIs and metrics reporting.

Job Description:

Corporate Strategy

  • Ongoing surveillance and analysis of evolving market trends including competitive landscape situational analysis and strategic response to regulatory changes
  • Lead workstreams to formulate corporate strategies regarding specific themes together with business and ‘chapter’ units
  • Originate impactful strategic initiatives that will help bridge gaps between strategic aspirations and actual performance situations

Corporate Development

  • Continuous engagement / immersion in the relevant industry / segment / product scenes, in order to uncover potential timely opportunities for strategic alliances / partnerships / acquisitions
  • Lead partnership workstreams from a Country level, stitching together all potential collaboration opportunities and develop these propositions till Go-To-Market
  • Perform necessary market assessment studies and commercial due diligence for senior management consideration

Performance Management

  • Drive and manage / track Country-level KPIs / OKRs and metrics for reporting purposes
  • Organise concerted Country-level response to other ad-hoc reporting requests

Skill requirements:

  • At least 5 years’ experience in Strategy Consulting / Corporate Strategy in a Financial Institution
  • Knowledge in Banking – preferred expertise in Corporate Banking / Global Banking / Regionalising Banking Operations
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with ability to deal with / communicate well with C-suite level stakeholders
  • Strong research and analytical skills with keen business / logical sense to establish causation and spot pertinent trends
  • Ability to think ‘out-of-the-box’ and bridge performance gaps with innovative solutions
  • Project management expertise to run things efficiently and problem-solve whenever needed
