Role Overview:

The AVP/VP, CAS plays a strategic leadership role in delivering best-in-class client engagement and customized solutions across Maybank’s Prime Brokerage platform. He/she will be responsible for driving client experience, business development, and cross-functional collaboration. This role ensures clients have seamless access to the firm’s full suite of capabilities—enhancing satisfaction, deepening relationships, and accelerating growth

Key Responsibilities:

Client Experience & Relationship Management

  • Lead strategies to elevate client experience and deepen engagement across key client segments.
  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for priority clients and strategic prospects, ensuring responsiveness and high service standards.
  • Drive tailored solutions and cross-product opportunities to align with client objectives.
  • Revitalize dormant or underutilized accounts to generate new flows and income.

Business Growth & Strategic Support

  • Partner with Sales teams to support onboarding, pipeline conversion, and mandate wins.
  • Provide insight-driven recommendations to drive acquisition, retention, and resource optimization.
  • Oversee CAS metrics to quantify success and return on engagement strategies.
  • Collaborate on system/process enhancements with a client-centric lens.

Cross-Functional & Regional Collaboration

  • Act as a key liaison across ECM, DCM, Research, Corporate Access, and regional teams to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Coordinate corporate access and research distribution to drive idea flow and relevance.
  • Champion connectivity between Maybank's regional offices and Prime teams to maximize wallet share.

Event Strategy & Client Engagement

  • Spearhead client events that reinforce Prime’s value proposition and generate business leads.
  • Develop KPIs to measure event success and lead follow-up actions for business conversion.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Events teams on planning, execution, and post-event strategy.

Qualifications and skillset requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any field
  • Dynamic and experienced relationship manager with 8 to 15 years of experience in client facing, account management or in a similar role
  • Experience working with any of the asset classes like equities, CFDs, F&O, FX, funds, fixed income
  • Have experience handling Hedge Funds, Institutional Clients, Family Offices (SFO/MFO) client types, External Asset Managers (EAM), Financial Institution and High Net Worth Individuals
  • An excellent communicator at all levels with external/internal clients and service providers.
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Results orientated
  • Strong ability to multi-task and self-starter
  • Naturally inquisitive and able to think outside the box

The successful candidate will be required to be MAS licensed with CMFAS Modules 1A, 2A, 5, 6 and 6A (equivalent New modules effective 1 April 2024, Modules RES 1A, RES 2A, RES 5, CM-EIP, CM-SIP).
