Business Solutions Analytics

As a strategic business partner to Public Markets Front Office in understanding their goals and challenges, leveraging data and analytics to recommend impactful solutions and enable capabilities, through collaboration with corporate partners and access to information across GIC. This role will primarily support the Equities department.

What will you do as an AVP/VP, Business Solutions Analytics?

  • Engage senior stakeholders to define/refine business information needs against broader department initiatives.
  • Point person within assigned coverage for demand management and planning capability roadmap.
  • Oversee timely delivery of impactful business analysis through efficient processes that leverage platforms and technology while continuously assessing improvements and innovations.
  • Apply data analysis across multiple data domains and utilize visualization tools to communicate complex information clearly and effectively to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with partners across technology, operations, risk departments, and vendors to enable capabilities for business needs.
  • Proactively share learnings and provide guidance to team members to uplift service levels and business knowledge.

What qualifications or skills should you possess in this role?

  • Bachelor’s degree related to Finance with focus on financial markets and equity instruments. Relevant certifications (e.g., CFA, FRM) preferred.
  • 6-8 years of experience in asset management, financial services, or a related industry, with a track record of driving analytics and business solutioning initiatives. Relevant experience providing portfolio management support to the front office preferred.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (SQL, Python) and data visualization software (Tableau, Power BI). Intermediate Excel skills preferred.
  • High analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and presentation abilities, and working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Strong business acumen and confidence in managing senior stakeholders. Self-driven and well organized in juggling multiple work streams.
  • Good understanding of asset management principles, investment strategies, and market dynamics. Good understanding of equity portfolio characteristics, performance attribution, and risk.
