You will play a critical role in ensuring the bank's compliance with client tax regulatory requirements, i.e. FATCA, CRS and QI. This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of banking and regulation, and to contribute to the bank's reputation for integrity and compliance.
This is a highly specialized advisory role requiring extensive expertise in Client Tax Regulations (FATCA/CRS/QI), coupled with an understanding of regulatory (international and local) requirements/expectations on client tax risk assessment and controls. The individual will be expected to independently provide advisory on client tax regulations, provide clear guidance on key projects relating to FATCA/CRS/QI within the bank and influence decision-making across a wide range of senior stakeholders. The role will also require regular engagement with senior management, regulators, auditors, external industry participants and cross-functional stakeholders across the Bank.
Degree with minimum 3 - 5 years of tax compliance experience. Strong technical knowledge and understanding of regulatory (international and local) requirements/expectations on client tax risk assessment and controls. Strong understanding of FATCA, CRS and QI are required. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, analytical and communication skills. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Willingness to learn and upgrade new skills and knowledge. Meticulous, highly organized and structured.
