Job summary

UNITED OVERSEAS BANK LIMITED is seeking a seasoned Systems Analyst to collaborate with business users and project teams across the project lifecycle. You will gather requirements, craft specifications, and ensure delivery aligns with business objectives within the banking sector.

The role requires strong analytical thinking, communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure, with attention to documentation and quality assurance throughout the project phases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other relevant disciplines.
• More than 5 years of relevant system analysis, testing and/or project management experience in banking/financial services.
• Ability to orchestrate and facilitate requirements sessions, creating an environment for collaboration and communication.
• Experienced in interface specification and data mapping; detail interface specs based on user requirements.
• Analytical and problem-solving experience with ability to grasp new concepts and provide insights.
• Good working knowledge of SDLC and relevant applications.
• Ability to multi-task and perform under pressure.
• Excellent documentation skills.
• Good negotiation and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Business Users, Business Analyst and project team on solutioning during projects.
• Participate in requirements gathering with Business Users and Business Analyst; suggest alternatives based on best practices.
• Work on / review solution design & effort estimates and prioritize projects & change requests.
• Develop / Review functional specs based on Business Requirements Document and map into RTM.
• Develop / Review Technical Design Specification to meet Functional Requirements.
• Coordinate with Architect, Development and vendor for smooth delivery.
• Support testing during SIT, UAT and post-implementation phases.
• Ensure all documentation is maintained per UOB delivery methodology.
• Verify vendor code releases meet requirements.
• Monitor post-production cut-over and address issues.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Business Users, Business Analyst and project team members on solutioning during project initiation, implementation and post-implementation support.
• Participate in requirements gathering with Business Users and Business Analyst. Suggest alternate solutions to meet or improve the desired objectives based on best practices and industry solutions and influence the desired outcomes.
• Work on / review solution design & effort estimates and prioritize projects & change requests
• Develop / Review functional specification based on Business Requirement Document and map out into Requirement Traceability Matrix (RTM)
• Develop / Review Technical Design Specification to ensure the design meets the Functional Requirement.
• Work with Architect, Development and vendor team on the smooth delivery of the solution.
• Support testing during SIT, UAT and post-implementation phases.
• Ensure all application documentations are maintained and completed according to the UOB delivery methodology.
• Verify vendor code releases to ensure that it is developed as per functional and technical requirements.
• Monitor post-production cut-over and provide support on issues and incidents raised.
• Ensure timely response and address of all production incidents
• Envision and design end-to-end business processes while keeping an eye on the details.
• Evaluate and analyse existing business processes, and uncover areas for improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other relevant disciplines
• More than 5 years of relevant system analysis, testing and/or project management experience in the banking / financial services industry
• Ability to orchestrate and facilitate requirements sessions, creating an environment for collaboration and communication.
• Experienced in interface specification and data mapping. Able to detail out interface specification based on user requirements.
• Well-developed analytical and problem-solving experience and ability to grasp new concepts, provide insights and solutions.
• Good working knowledge of relevant applications and software development life cycles.
• Ability to multi-task and perform well under pressure.
