This is done through strategic focus on training and improving staff capability, empowerment, productivity, teamwork, innovation & technology, managing operational risks & strongly collaborating with our business partners in delivering excellent RED service to our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and monitor transactional collaterals for Commodity Finance/Structured Finance transactions.
  • Responsible for transactional and operational integrity of the credit facility structures especially in areas of settlement risk, operational risk, and performance risk.
  • Review Summary and Control Sheets on workability of governing terms and conditions of the facility structures.
  • Perform Mark to Market valuations, monitor cash collateral requirements and follow up on top-ups for transactions that are under-collateralised.
  • Monitor Loan to Value ratios to ensure financing within stipulated threshold and conduct margin calls whenever necessary.
  • Update key transactional details into ST Connect for monitoring of exposures and facility limits management.
  • Monitor hedged positions and liaise with Treasury and Markets and Relationship Managers on top ups.
  • Alert Relationship Managers and Credit Risk Managers of any potential risks which might endanger the underlying asset or identify the source of repayment in a timely manner.
  • Assist to solicit new deals within approved and available limits through daily contact with the clients and to follow up on relationships and marketing calls jointly with Relationship Managers whenever required.
  • Collaborate with Regional Trade Operations Team and Product Managers in the review of new trade products rollout, guidelines revision and implementation.
  • Accompany Credit Risk Manager and Relationship Manager on local or overseas site visits whenever necessary.
  • Mentorship to new entrant and deputize the Team Leader as and when required.
  • Participate in process flow improvements, system enhancements, live verifications and any other initiatives as assigned.
Requirements
  • Preferably a bachelor's degree in Banking and Finance or a relevant field
  • 5-12 years of experience in Commodity Trade Finance Middle Office, Front Office, or Commodity Trading Houses.
  • Must be attentive to details with good analytical skills and the ability to understand the intrinsic transactional risks.
  • Collaborator with strong organisational and interactive skills.
  • Knowledge in Warehouse Financing, Storage Tank Financing, Borrowing Based Financing and Revolving Credit Finance, preferably.
  • Sound knowledge of trade-based rules such as UCP600, ISBP745, URC525 and Incoterms 2021.
  • Competent in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
