Responsibilities
- Administer and monitor transactional collaterals for Commodity Finance/Structured Finance transactions.
- Ensure transactional and operational integrity of credit facility structures, focusing on settlement risk, operational risk, and performance risk.
- Review Summary and Control Sheets regarding the workability of the facility structures' terms and conditions.
- Perform Mark to Market valuations, monitor cash collateral requirements, and follow up on top-ups for under-collateralised transactions.
- Monitor Loan to Value ratios to ensure financing remains within stipulated thresholds and conduct margin calls as needed.
- Update key transactional details into ST Connect for exposure and facility limit monitoring.
- Monitor hedged positions and coordinate with Treasury, Markets, and Relationship Managers on top-ups.
- Alert Relationship Managers and Credit Risk Managers of potential risks threatening the underlying asset or repayment sources.
- Assist in soliciting new deals within approved limits through daily client contact and follow-up on relationships and marketing calls with Relationship Managers.
- Collaborate with Regional Trade Operations Team and Product Managers on new trade product reviews, guideline revisions, and implementations.
- Participate in local or overseas site visits with Credit Risk Managers and Relationship Managers.
- Mentor new entrants and deputize the Team Leader when required.
- Participate in process improvements, system enhancements, live verifications, and other initiatives as assigned.
Requirements
- Preferably a bachelor’s degree in Banking and Finance or a relevant field.
- 5-12 years of experience in Commodity Trade Finance Middle Office, Front Office, or Commodity Trading Houses.
- Attention to detail with good analytical skills and understanding of transactional risks.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge in Warehouse Financing, Storage Tank Financing, Borrowing Based Financing, and Revolving Credit Finance is preferred.
- Sound knowledge of trade rules such as UCP600, ISBP745, URC525, and Incoterms 2021.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
