AVP/Snr. Associate, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Specialist, Consumer Banking Technology, Group Technology

In Group Technology, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide technical support for Java-based applications across production and non-production environments.
2. Troubleshoot and resolve incidents, including analyzing logs, diagnosing issues, and performing root cause analysis.
3. Monitor application performance and ensure system availability and optimal performance.
4. Collaborate with development teams to deploy new releases and patches for Java applications.
5. Assist in the configuration and customization of Java applications as per business requirements.
6. Work with the operations team to ensure smooth deployment and support of Java applications in production environments.
7. Provide on-call support and be involved in incident management processes to ensure minimal business disruption.
8. Maintain documentation for application configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and best practices.
9. Coordinate with various teams (development, QA, network, and infrastructure) to resolve issues.
10. Participate in root cause analysis and contribute to continuous improvement of application support processes.
11. Assist with user queries and provide technical assistance on Java-related issues.

Skills & Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2. Strong experience in Java (Core Java, J2EE, etc.) and related technologies (Spring, Hibernate, etc.).
3. Proficiency in database management systems (SQL, Oracle, etc.).
4. Experience with application servers such as Apache Tomcat, or JBoss.
5. Familiarity with application monitoring tools (such as AppDynamics, Grafana).
6. Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
7. Knowledge of scripting languages such as Shell, Python, or Perl for automating repetitive tasks.
8. Experience with version control systems (Git, SVN, etc.).
9. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
10. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
