Business Function:
Group Technology and Operations (T&O) enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble, and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability, and innovation. In Group T&O, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and aim to delight our business partners through multiple banking delivery channels.
Responsibilities:
- End-to-end handling of Finacle and surrounding Core Banking applications production issues, including incident analysis, code fixes, SIT testing, UAT planning (scope, duration), UAT support, source promotion to production, and facilitating recovery calls for major incidents while coordinating with multiple teams.
- Application improvements focusing on performance, operational efficiency, and remediation of system and process toil.
- Ensure timely service restoration within SLAs, conduct root cause analysis with technology partners, and facilitate RCA reviews.
- Implement preventive and detective measures for applications, identify recurring issues, and recommend solutions.
- Manage production issues from analysis to deployment, following support processes and providing feedback for process improvements.
- Communicate status updates to leads and stakeholders, review design/fixes with vendors for deployment.
- Own incident communication, escalation, and management interactions.
- Coordinate recurring issues for long-term resolution through incident and problem management.
- Collaborate with infrastructure and development teams to analyze and resolve complex incidents.
- Manage stakeholder relationships with a focus on service improvement, delivery, and stability.
- Handle FINACLE v10 and v11 incidents/enhancements across modules like Payments, Loans, Limits, Collaterals, CASA/TD, and WMS.
- Analyze incidents in Finacle Wealth Management and provide solutions or workarounds.
- Automate toil activities and manual processes for production teams, leveraging automation expertise.
- Implement Site Reliability Engineering principles, build monitoring and observability tools, and develop predictive solutions using machine learning and logs.
- Ensure proper incident handoff, documentation, and global team collaboration.
Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree or higher.
- 7-14 years of banking experience, with at least 3+ years in a lead RTB role working with Finacle Core Banking in a multi-country environment.
- Strong understanding of RDBMS, Unix, and large banking applications.
- Technical and functional knowledge of Finacle v10 and v11 modules.
- Experience with Finacle batch jobs, open systems, and multi-country production environments.
- Knowledge of production infrastructure, performance monitoring, and reporting tools.
- Experience with SRE practices, automation, and performance tuning.
- Hands-on experience with Finacle scripting, Java, Spring Boot, Python, and middleware systems like Kafka and Redis.
- Proficiency in incident, change, and problem management.
- Experience with Elasticsearch, Logstash, Grafana/Kibana, and AppDynamics.
- Automation experience, especially with Python, is preferred.
- Strong communication, positive attitude, and ability to work independently and in teams.
